DM2 Technomat

The DM2 Techno Flex (AV) is a flexible-configuration rotary transfer machine from DM2 Transfer of Brescia, Italy, supplied in North America by Revolution Machine Works. It is designed for maximum machining density: a 300 mm working envelope with 12 horizontal stations plus vertical machining from both the top and the bottom — 12 units from above and 12 from below — so a highly complex part can be worked from every direction and finished complete. Part lengths reach 200 mm, indexing every 0.9 seconds at 20,000 lb. Like the rest of the Technomat family, the Techno Flex uses a cast-iron, stress-relieved base with Hirth-ring indexing and Fanuc control, with 1–5 axis DM2 machining units in 40/90, 55/120, and 55/200 sizes and quick-change tooling. Its top-and-bottom vertical layout makes it the choice for the most operation-dense parts in the RMW range, and it integrates readily with robot load/unload for lights-out production. AMT Machine Tools supplies and supports the DM2 Techno Flex across Canada.
